New Delhi, April 27 (ANI): Detailing the Centre's response in the wake of the devastating Nepal earthquake, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said the government took immediate steps to ensure rescue and relief in the aftermath of the tragedy. Assuring the government's help for everyone during the hour of crisis, Rajnath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with 11-12 chief ministers immediately after the quake struck. Rajnath further said that four NDRF teams have been sent to Bihar and one NDRF team is operating in UP and the Prime Minister is personally monitoring the situation. The death toll due to the earthquake has risen to over 3,200 in Nepal. The calamity is one of the worst in over 80 years of Nepal's history, killing over 3,200 people. Thousands in the country are forced to spend the nights outside, setting up makeshift tents, sitting around campfires and eating food provided by volunteers.
