Run by Shivam Bhaskar, this latest entrant into Delhi’s buzzing food scene is all about three things: sumptuous but healthy breakfasts, terrace dining and maintaining the authenticity in its diverse menu.

Touting itself as Delhi’s first sushi and dim sum bar, Number 31 will surely make you come back for more with it praise worthy continental and Asian delicacies, fresh ingredients, avant-garde combinations and a soothing décor.

From quinoa bowl, bircher muesli, steamed dumplings and pan-fried gyozas to the outrageously brilliant cooked offerings like conjee, assorted dim sum basket, apple pie French toast, fluffy pancakes and waffles, this place will surely take you on a culinary tour.

While its ‘Greek and Devilled Avocados’ aims at presenting eggs in a novel way, its ‘Tofu Bahn Mi’ offers a velvety smooth gastronomic experience. You can chomp up a ‘Teppanyaki Burger’ prepared with an appetizing tenderloin patty or choose from a ‘Tempura Roll,’ ‘California Roll’ or ‘Tofu Roll’ for an exquisite Sushi experience.

Some of the must-trys are chia seed pudding topped with dried cranberries, walnuts, dates and sliced green apple; blueberry pancakes; and the prawn and spinach dim sums with black bean sauce.

The fine dining outlet not only offers an extensive line up of breakfast options, but can also double up as your workstation or a brunch spot to spend a lazy afternoon in.

Making use of the indigenous ingredients incorporated in Asian dishes, you will find many dishes with shitake mushrooms, salmon, prawns and tofu that are characteristic of the cuisine.

The restaurant, like its predecessor Number 8, is spread across three floors. The first floor has a long table with vibrant and comfortable tall chairs, while the second floor has a live sushi station where you can catch the talented and deft chefs in action.

The vista from their top floor perch may steal your heart, but hopefully not your appetite. The place is done up in hues of white and turquoise and the plush upholstery lends it an aura of opulence.
